I love this floor lamp. Why are floor lamps so expensive? How much is too much for a lamp? I need your advice because I think it would look great in our home. I found a similar lamp in the January Martha, but the scale isn't quite the same (but it is about half as much!) Yikes!

I've been needing a floor lamp lately too and haven't broken down and paid the $$$ for it yet. I'm not sure what's too much but, they sure do seem expensive, especially considering i've always either inherited lamps from my mom or recieved them as gifts like for our wedding. I sure like the one you picked, and I think it would look fabulous in your house. Just think of it as an investment and be sure you REALLY like it, so you can keep it for the long haul.

theres a floor lamp at anthroplogie for over $200.00 and that seemed like a lot to me so I left it. i still deam about it though. oh and that didn't include the lamp shade!

Well, I may be a bad person to ask, BUT I think that a good floor lamp is worth the $$$! Mr. El Cheapo, AKA Tyler was certain that we could get by with an IKEA one for our second floor lamp. So for the $20 it cost us, I let him try, comprimize right? (It did not look good in any way and I made hime keep it in the back room). Needless to say, it is in the trash and we still only have one good floor lamp, standing strong! :)
I must say that lamps can get spensy, but they tend to be worth it! We just broke down and got rid of our $8 Target lamp and purchased a nice one from Ikea for $50.00. I love it - it's very clean and simple!
Maybe a splurge will make you feel good. I got some creamies yesterday and I am sure they will make me feel better.
Well I don't know much about a lamp but I feel like if it is going to 'brighten' your day then do it! You can always use a floor lamp. I just wanted to thank you for our little visit today! You are such an example to me! you hang in there too! :)
Dude. That floor lamp you want is awesome. How much are they asking? Hayley passed up that one for $200- I would have bought it- it's hard to find ones you like and when I finally found that one we have... well, do you remember how much I ended up spending?? A LOT. But their true colors come through in time and it's been worth it. Quality counts! xoxox
