Great Grandparents

Marty's Grandparents, Bob and Adonna, are so wonderful. We were able to visit them last night and all oogle at Graham while we caught up. They have had some health problems over the last several months and have recently started feeling better. We are grateful they are doing better and can't wait to visit them again.

We picked Apricots off of their trees in the huge backyard. I never realized how large it was until last night- it is like a park! Graham loved the apricot and sucked on it like a Popsicle.

Okay, to fully appreciate this quote you would have to know Marty's Grandmother Adonna. She is a woman with a little sass (my favorite kind)! She is well spoken, well dressed- she'll wear clothes and jewelery that I would wear- so incredibly gracious and completely selfless. She raised 9 (yes, 9) children and told me that her feet would hit the floor every morning at 6am and she would start running! She has this little plaque on her side table and it makes me smile every time I read it. I want to be just like her!

(But I'll tell you right now, I won't be bearing 9 children)

One Big Cool Bib

DESCRIPTION

Try "one big cool bib"! It is a bib-apron combo that provides top to bottom coverage saving little one's clothes and Mom's precious time, not mentioning less stress and less laundry! Great for eating, arts & crafts, helping around the kitchen, special needs and gift giving. Comfortably fits children ages 1 through 5.

.

.

So Marty's friend's wife, Christina, started this company and makes these great bibs! She gave a few to me last month and I have LOVED them. They really are so great and keep Graham so clean. I don't have to change his entire outfit after every meal because the bib covers him all the way to his toes. If you know anyone who would benefit, pass this great idea a long! Check it out here.

Making Your Own

Beaba Babycook

"The French baby-food maker that has won praise throughout Europe is finally available to American families. This compact countertop appliance multitasks as a steamer, blender, warmer and defroster to prepare fresh, healthy meals for baby. It starts by steam cooking vegetables, fruits, meat and fish in less than 15 minutes, preserving their vitamins and flavors, then purees or blends them to the desired consistency. You can also use it to quickly reheat or defrost precooked foods. With it comes a 2 1/2-cup plastic bowl, cooking basket, spatula and recipe booklet. The bowl and basket are dishwasher safe. 11" x 5 1/2" x 8" high.

A Williams-Sonoma exclusive."

So this Beaba Babycook doesn't seem like something I NEED, but definitely something I WANT for this phase of feeding Graham. Wouldn't it look so cute in my kitchen? I could also get this Baby Cookbook for my cookbook shelves. I do predict that it would get tedious having to make all of his food and I would soon reminisce the days I could open a jar of Gerber's. Thoughts? Experiences of making your own baby food?

July... in a nut shell

I love the balloons around the 4th of July. It is always a highlight of the Holiday. Marty was saving our spot at the parade and I woke up too late to meet Andrea, Scott and Co. soooo it was just Graham and I

He was mesmerized!

So happy at such an early hour

The Parade... wasn't the cloud cover nice? I loved it!

Seven Peaks with my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a lot of kids and babies.
The above photo is of my Uncle Rulon and his grandkids- Abby and Quinn. My Uncle Rulon was in a plane crash last August. He is lucky to be alive, but has had to endure so much to recover. He recently had is leg amputated and was such a trooper to come with us all the Seven Peaks. Love you Ru!

The boys!

Ava, Meg and Mama Jan

Graham enjoying his Graham Cracker in the Shade!

Graham is Crawling... my life is over... I know!

Marty is the Young Men's President in our ward and he took all of these boys on a river rafting high adventure trip for three days. They had a great time and no one got hurt! Thank Heavens!

With the help of my mom and sister Suzy we are taking turns watching Ava (Meg's baby) while Megan, Chris, Noah and Nick are in Florida on vacation. To say the least, I feel like I have twins! (Andrea I DO NOT know how you do it!) They are the exact same size, that is Graham and Ava, both 18 lbs, but Ava is 14 months and Graham is 9 months. Ava is walking and Graham is crawling so I'm following one of them at all time. It has been fun! Today I was trying to fix dinner and both babies were fussy so I spread out some toys to try and entertain them for a few minutes. It seemed to be working until I heard Graham crying louder and nothing from Ava. I walked over to them and Ava had stolen Graham's pacifier right out of his mouth. She put it in hers... but backwards. It was a funny moment! I had to document...
