Attic Before we moved in

I cannot rotate the above picture... so please turn your head and walk down the stairs out the little door to the main floor

Looking up the existing/ original staircase
The Process begins

Looking from the kitchen up the new staircase

New staircase with cookbook shelf wall, pantry, storage closets torn out

Standing from the mudroom door looking back up

From underneath

From the side hallway... straight ahead used to be linen closet and closets from inside Graham's room

Some old, old flooring that was discovered underneath multiple layers

The framing has started upstairs

Looking North... the hole is the staircase

Looking down the staircase
Below is the beginning framing off of Graham's Room upstairs.
More was done today so check back soon:)

So exciting! It'll feel so much more open I think. I think you'll end up loving it and being glad you got it done.
ps. you should have taken that pram with the sell!
Wow! Even though I've seen your house I still can't picture where this is... I'll have to come for a visit...
Jess, it's looking amazing!! What a job, but it will be so great when it's all done. We had that same insulation above our kitchen, isn't it the worst? So messy. Can't wait to see it all done!!
