I was on my morning jog in the avenues when Jimmy Chunga and Mr. West (from the then 102.7 radio station) announced that they had just been alerted of the first tower being hit.

It scared me. So I ran home, turned on the television, and stood there sweaty, headphones wrapped around my shoulders, wondering if Salt Lake would be next. Then I watched the second plane hit live. I still get a pit in my stomach thinking about it.

I'm sure this is a story I'll tell my grandchildren for years to come. What an amazing moment to live through...what an awful memory to have. Thanks for honoring the day for all of us Americans who live and breathe the freedom that those terrorists tried to take from us.

Always love your posts...
