Picnic at the Park
On Sunday Marty, Graham and I went to the park for a picnic and a nap in the sun. It was pretty much heavenly! Graham never likes to be on his stomach and he must have loved the sun on his back because he just laid there for almost a half hour. He was playing with the grass with his fingers and was so smiley!

A very tiny little hand...
My Aunt Char took Graham and I on a little outing. We went to get this little mold made of Graham's hand. It is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I'm sure I will cherish it even more as he get bigger and his hand isn't so tiny any more. He was such a good baby during the whole thing. He kept smiling and looking down at his hand with a perplexed look. I know I was thinking, "what is the huge pink blob on his hand?" so I can only imagine what he was thinking... "cold...wet...squishy...I LOVE it! " It was so much fun! Thanks Char!

Yum! Yum!
I think it is pretty fun to celebrate milestones with Graham. This past week was rice cereal! I don't even think he swallowed any of it. He kept pushing it out with his tongue. So of course it was mostly all over his face, the bib and the bumbo. I know I have to just stick with it, but if you have any advice for the transition to solids, send it my way. Maybe he'll like peaches better...

Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday to my Dad and happy 1/2 Birthday to Graham. We celebrated my Dad's birthday last night by going to dinner with our "small" family because most everyone lives outside Utah. But it was still fun. He is an amazing man and I love him very much. This picture of him is great because it shows what a good mood he is always in. So optimistic and energetic (sometime we joke he has ADD because he gets more things done that 5 regular men!)
I can't really believe Graham is 6th months old... it has gone really fast, but incredibly slow! I'm so glad that I've had him to make me smile! He is such a joy and a blessing! I love him! (He looks a little scared in this pic...)

Correction...
In my earlier post I was talking about Marty's cousin Darin who passed away from Lung Cancer. I so inconsiderately called his wife Amy when her name is really Lisa! I'm so sorry about the over site. Lisa, please know we still think and pray for you daily!

Graham Cracker
Today Allegra told me she posted some of the pictures she took of Graham while here in Utah. The link to her blog is over on the right on my "Blogs of Greatness." Thank you, Thank you Allegra! I love them and can't wait to get them. He is so delicious- I'll go kiss those dimples right now!
The Patch Family
Yesterday we attended the funeral for Marty's cousin, Darin Patch. It was such a wonderful meeting. I had never met him before so hearing his family and friends talk about him was a treat. He passed away from Lung Cancer and left behind his wife Amy and 2 year old son Conlin. They are an amazing family with such faith and courage. We will continue to pray for them during this difficult time.
A funeral brings family together in an often unexpected way, but together nonetheless. I feel very lucky to be part of such a
wonderful family. Brian Patch, my father-in-law, has eight siblings and they are all such kind and loving people. I love being a small part of such a big group.
My even greater love is for my immediate Patch family. Brian and Tayva, Marty's parents, are so amazing to me. They help me so much and are constantly serving me. They let me hang out with them and I love it! We've been going to lunch, back and forth to SLC, and to the new Poliform store (beautiful modern furniture) this week. I love them and want them to know! Here are a few not so recent pictures...

The Flu? Food Poisoning? What?
Just when you think it can't get any worse, just remember it can! Last Thursday I finally started to feel a little better from 6 days of POTS symptoms and then out of nowhere I got the Stomach Flu or something. For someone that has been nauseated and throwing up for over a year it is a pretty big blow to get the Flu! Marty was so wonderful and stayed home from work on Friday to take care of Graham and nurse me back to what strength I have. It has taken until today to feel as strong as I did before. But I'm doing better and am hopeful that I will have some good days ahead.
I wanted to post about my amazing brother Brett. He is the smartest man I know and is so dedicated to achieve his goals. I admire his determination and willingness to do hard things! He has been working for Dupont as a financial analyst (that doesn't really do it justice), and recently decided to apply to an Executive MBA program at Wharton in Philadelphia. He was accepted and will start in a few weeks. He is amazing and I love him! (He probably won't love this picture though!!!!)
